Adults will spend nearly half of their media day consuming digital content
4 hours watching TV, 3 hours on our phones, 2 hours on our laptops and desktops, 86 minutes listening to the radio, and a mere 24 minutes reading print. As uncovered by this great article on the new reality of media consumption created by eMarketer.
So with so little reading going on (particularly on those tiny 3 inch screens we're all tethered to all day on our smartphones) why are we still writing so much?
It's our thesis that as most Americans have moved to their smartphones as their primary source of information, ALL of our messaging and marketing (and the content we're constantly creating) needs to be converted to audio and/or video...cuz that's what those small smartphones do best.
